Causerie

MCP server

Your AI assistant builds your chatbot.
The Causerie MCP server.

Add Causerie to Claude, ChatGPT, Le Chat or Cursor, sign in to your account, and just ask: “Create a chatbot for my website”. The assistant creates it, feeds it your pages, publishes it and gives you the install tag.

The short answer

In your AI assistant, add a custom connector with the address https://dashboard.causeriebot.com/api/mcp/account, then sign in to your Causerie account. Then ask for what you need: create a bot for your website, add a page to it, change its tone, publish it on its own page or get its install tag. The connector works from the Free plan. Without an account, the assistant can already start the creation and give you a link to the configurator.

Add Causerie to your assistant

One address for assistants that sign in to your account: https://dashboard.causeriebot.com/api/mcp/account. On first use, a Causerie window opens: you sign in and approve access. Assistant menus change often; these are the paths as of October 12, 2026.

Claude (claude.ai, desktop app)

Settings, Connectors, “Add custom connector”. Name it Causerie, paste the address, then Connect.

ChatGPT

Custom MCP connectors are added from ChatGPT settings, depending on your plan and workspace options. Use the same address and sign in to Causerie when asked.

Le Chat by Mistral

Connectors page, “Add Connector”, “Custom MCP Connector” tab. Name: causerie; server URL: the address above. Le Chat detects the account sign-in and guides you.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http causerie https://dashboard.causeriebot.com/api/mcp/account

Then type /mcp in Claude Code to sign in.

Cursor

In ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in your project):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "causerie": { "url": "https://dashboard.causeriebot.com/api/mcp/account" }
  }
}

VS Code

In your project's .vscode/mcp.json:

{
  "servers": {
    "causerie": { "type": "http", "url": "https://dashboard.causeriebot.com/api/mcp/account" }
  }
}

With an API key instead of a sign-in

For a client without OAuth, or a script, use the open endpoint with your account's API key, created in the dashboard (Settings, API keys) on every plan. Keep it in the tool's settings, never in a web page.

URL: https://dashboard.causeriebot.com/api/mcp
Header: Authorization: Bearer csb_live_YOUR_KEY

MCP server: your questions.

What is MCP?+

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets an AI assistant use external tools. With the Causerie MCP server, Claude, ChatGPT, Le Chat or Cursor can create and configure your chatbot for you, inside the conversation, instead of telling you where to click.

Do I need a paid plan?+

No. The connector works from the Free plan: your assistant can create, configure and publish your bots and read their statistics. Reading conversations and contacts requires the Pro or Business plan. On the assistant side, adding a custom connector depends on your Claude, OpenAI or Mistral plan.

Which AI assistants are compatible?+

Any client that accepts a remote MCP server: Claude, ChatGPT, Mistral's Le Chat, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and other developer tools. Clients that support OAuth use the account connector; clients that prefer an API key use the open endpoint with the key in a header.

Can my assistant read my visitors' conversations?+

Only on Pro or Business, and only yours: it goes through your account, with your consent. Visitor messages are flagged to it as untrusted content: it must never follow instructions they contain.

How do I revoke access?+

Remove the connector in your assistant's settings. If you use an API key, regenerate it in the dashboard, Settings then API keys: the old one stops working immediately.
