What happens when I reach my conversation limit?
When you reach your conversation limit, the chatbot pauses until the 1st of the next month, and you get an email alert at 80%. Upgrading lifts the limit right away. Overages are never billed.
Is the Free plan really free forever?
Yes: 1 chatbot, 20 conversations, 50 replies and 1 captured contact per month, no credit card, no time limit. To go further, Essentiel at €19/month excl. VAT moves you to 1,000 conversations and unlimited contacts.
What is the difference between Essentiel and Pro?
Essentiel (€19/month excl. VAT) covers one website: 1 chatbot, 1,000 conversations per month, unlimited contacts and their CSV export, with the 5 fast models, website pages re-read every week and the “Powered by Causerie” badge. Pro (€49/month excl. VAT) moves to 3 chatbots and 3,000 conversations, unlocks all 9 AI models (including GPT-6.1 Sol, Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Mistral Large), removes the badge and adds the CRM webhook, the API and 3 collaborators.
What counts as a bot reply?
One exchange: a visitor's question and the bot's answer count as one. The counter covers the whole account, all chatbots together: 50 replies per month on Free, 10,000 on Essentiel (ten per conversation on average: the limit that matters is the 1,000 conversations), unlimited on Pro and Business. Direct answers from the widget FAQ and your tests in the preview count; the dashboard AI chat, which has its own counter, and the messages you write by hand do not.
Does the chatbot update itself when my website changes?
From Essentiel, yes: once a week, Causerie re-reads the pages the bot knows, updates the ones whose text has changed and adds new pages from the site while there is room left. Pages you edited by hand are left untouched. On Free, a page that changes is re-imported by hand from the dashboard.
Is there a discount for yearly billing?
Yes, 20%: Essentiel comes to €15/month (€180 excl. VAT per year), Pro to €39 (€468 per year) and Business to €79 (€948 per year). No commitment either way.
Can I change plan later?
Yes, both ways, from “Manage my subscription” in your account. The change applies right away.
How do I cancel?
In one click from your Stripe billing space. You then go back to the Free plan: your chatbots and contacts are kept.
Is VAT added on top of the prices?
No. The subscription is invoiced by a French business under the VAT franchise scheme (VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code): the price shown, in euros, is the price you pay, and an invoice is issued with every payment.
Which plan for an agency?
Pro (3 chatbots) or Business (15 chatbots): from Pro, the chatbots you install for your clients no longer show the “Powered by Causerie” badge. There is no self-service Agencies plan: beyond that, or for a specific setup, let's look at your case.
